The "In the Sky" video sure was fun to make!
I flew to Milwaukee the day before the air show began and spent the night at my sisterâs house.
I had a nice visit with her husband (my brother in law) and their two boys (my nephews). The next day I had to
leave early for Osh Kosh but not until we had a little birthday breakfast. Not only was it my birthday, it was
my brother-in-lawâs birthday too. I had been so busy getting ready for the air show video, I had forgotten! It
was such a wonderful way to start the final part of my journey. I smiled all the way to Osh Kosh. When I got there
I met my crew-the director, the camera man, and the sound technician-and we started shooting right away. Our first
interview was with Pete Conrad, the third man to walk on the moon. WOW! We were right in front of the NASA exhibit
and Mr. Conrad told me that some day weâll be able to hop on a rocket just as easily as I hopped on the plane that
took me to Milwaukee.
Would you like to go to the moon someday? I think I would. Every day there were fantastic surprises, talking to
Chuck Yeager the first person to fly faster than sound and break the sound barrier, talking to Patty Wagstaff,
three time aerobatic champion, and author of a book about her life and flying called "Fire and Air" and
so many more. We met so many people who were inspirational to us. We had such a good time the Coast Guard especially
was all great too. When theyâre not out saving lives, these guys have fun!
My brother-in-law brought my nephews with and one of my brothers and his wife came too. They were a huge help to
us and made the whole experience even more special. Each day was a new adventure and would begin and end with the
crew making me laugh till I practically couldnât breath!!! Iâm looking forward to working with them again-theyâre
the best. The whole trip was just great, filled with fun, excitement and laughter. Thanks to my great crew. I think
the video catches all of the fun and learning and much more. If it is half as fun to watch as it was to make, then
Iâm sure youâre going to love "A Day with Annie in the Sky!"
